User-friendly
The work is more organized and structured
Instant, no need to prepare beforehand
The fact that one cannot upload images, it makes it easier to use
However this lacks the input of images. Images are essential for students to understand. Some students find it easier to use images to link concepts with each other

Advantages and Disadvantages of Kahoot
Advantages : User Friendly, Can start the quiz by using a video to engage the students. More engaging for low ability students. Competitive.
Disadvantages : Cannot put questions in order. Students have to have an internet connection and a smartphone/tablet. The picture comes a bit after the question

An example of an SAMR Model in Mathematics
Lesson: Loci
Name of the participants: Jessica & Luke
Name of the assessment: Loci
- Substitution → Representing Loci on GeoGebra
- Augmentation → Students upload their own locus in the form of a photo or a video on a wikispace so other students can comment on each other’s work.
- Modification → Act out a locus (people maths) since loci can be dynamic, students can upload a video of themselves acting it out.
- Redefinition → Loci in real life

The following is an example of an SAMR Model that I could relate to in my classroom
Lesson: Geography & Travel
Original Assignment: An overview of a location consisting of hand written content supplemented with compiled cut-and-pasted magazine clippings.
- Substitution: Use presentation software (like Powerpoint or Prezi) to construct a presentation providing information about a selected locale.
- Augmentation: Incorporate interactive multimedia – audio, video, hyperlinks – in the presentation to give more depth and provide more engaging presentation.
- Modification: Create a digital travel brochure that incorporates multimedia and student created video.
